ih Heidelberg students on tour
We offer various culture & leisure activities at least 3 times a
week: an orientation tour for the newcomers on Mondays encourages students to get to know each other as well as the city.
Guided tours
through the Old City of Heidelberg, the Castle and the local museums are part of our standard programme.
Apart from that we organise daytrips to
different German cities, for example: Karlsruhe, Speyer, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart. Our activities include: cycling/canoeing/hiking tours, vine tasting, visit to a beer
brewery, visit to the Max-Planck-Institute, movie nights or international food
parties at school, etc.
There is always something to do! Participation is free, except transportation
cost and entrance fees.
Sports
Those who love sports can take part in the extensive sports programme of
the Heidelberg university while at the same time consolidate their language skills (fee: 65 € for 2 semesters).
Heidelberg offers a great variety of sports facilities: tennis and
squash courts, swimming pools, gyms, rugby, soccer, as well as horseback
riding easy to reach. Golf is available just
outside of Heidelberg.
And last but not least: enjoy the "Neckarwiese" for beach volleyball,
soccer, frisbee, and have a nice barbecue there afterwords with your
friends!
